    I had to have her.

I wasn’t a man ruled over by emotions by any means. I had logical rules that determined every action, and I dutifully stuck to them. I would never dream of acting impulsively.

But she had thoroughly bewitched me. She was but a short distance away. One great leap and we would be together at last. My entire body shuddered and began to move me ever closer to her.

These sensations weren’t what scared me the most. It was that they somehow felt right. Ever since I had come into existence, I had remained firm in my principles. I was often compared to a rock; ever strong, proud, and immovable.

She made me doubt everything I stood for. I had never doubted my laws even once in my life. What was this enchantress?

My body continued carrying me to her. She saw me, and I choked as I realized that she was moving in my direction.

With a loud clap, our bodies clasped together. My brain was begging for mercy, but my heart wouldn’t listen as we held each other scandalously close.

Just when I thought she couldn’t be any more dazzling, she spoke. Her voice finally broke my resolve, and my unyielding personal code fell to dust.

“I’m Positive,” she said with a voice that would inspire the envy of all the angels in Heaven.

    “I’m Negative,” came my reply.

We held each other tightly forever. No force would ever remove us from one another.

Truly, we were perfect for one another.

Prompt: "Write a scene based on an adage."
I chose "opposites attract" and created the Greatest Love Story Ever Told.

I need to stop reading sinister things, because I imagined this going horrifically wrong :D I like that you've written this as though magnets being drawn together, forever :)
