Did You Hear That?

"Hey, sleepy head," Lydia said playfully, bringing her face close to Julius's. "Time to wake up."
Suddenly, she heard a snap somewhere in the distance as Julius started to wake up.
"Lydi-" he started to say, but was quickly shushed by his wife as she looked around, not saying a word or paying any attention to him.
"...no kiss?" he muttered, disappointed.
